Lac des Vernets covers an area of around 4.5 ha1 and is surrounded by an 11-hectare park. It has a beach, various play areas, a sports course and a snack bar. In high season: the snack bar is open, access and swimming are supervised, the inflatable water park is accessible, barbecues are prohibited. Generally, the high season starts in the last two weeks of June and ends at the end of August. In low season, access to the lake is free according to opening hours. Fishing is authorized in low season. The lake is managed by the SIVU "Les Vernets de Galaure". It is made up of elected representatives from the communes of Saint-Barthélemy-de-Vals and Saint-Uze.
