The medieval town of Saint-Antoine l'Abbaye, listed among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France," is one of the jewels of the Aurhalpin heritage. The village and the area surrounding the abbey were designated as Historic Monuments during the 20th century.
The facades of the houses, the winding alleyways, the village squares, the rooftops, and the grand mansions—which stand in striking contrast to the half-timbered houses—offer visitors a fantastic journey back in time, transporting them to the heart of the Middle Ages.
The “Sentier du Flâneur” (discovery trail) allows visitors to explore the charms of this village as they wander through its narrow streets and alleys.
For groups, guided tours of the abbey and the village can be arranged: for more information, contact the tourist office at 04 76 38 53 85 or via email at reservation-groupe@smvic.fr
